How Sagitari came to be
I started my first company in Nigeria in 1993. I wrote the business plans, traveled to win distribution rights, and built a telecom distributor with retail outlets across the country. Running that business for 13 years taught me what ownership really means: you answer for every customer, every employee and every payroll.
After business school at Wharton, I spent the next chapter of my career in the corporate world, at Ernst & Young, Meta and eBay. I led acquisitions, launched new businesses from scratch, and built teams that grew them into large operations. Along the way I also owned a fitness franchise in San Jose, which gave me a close look at the day-to-day realities of a small business in the Bay Area.
In 2026 I left eBay to return to what I enjoy most, which is owning and building a business of my own. Sagitari is the vehicle for that search. It is not a fund and it will not be a portfolio. It exists to acquire one good business and run it well for the long term.
I have also sat on the other side of the table. I have prepared my own business for a sale process, cleaned up years of books and answered every question a buyer could ask, so I know how much time, trust and effort goes into getting a transaction done.
If you are thinking about what comes next for your business, I would welcome a conversation, even if you are still early in the process.
